The birds are appliqued and then the circle is reversed appliqued to background. Only one yard of background is needed to make this quilt. Wooly Birds 30" x 38" An all wool project for the hand piecing lovers. Each bird is made from wool, fused to a panel and decoratively stitched with Perle cotton or DMC floss as are the branches. The panels are joined and the seams are finished with decorative stitches in wool thread. The borders are wool flannel and embellished with beautiful wool stitching.
