My friend, Rosemary Malzahn, asked me to make her a quilt for Bernina University. This one had been tossing around in my mind and this was the time to put it to fabric. I started the quilt in August of 2004 and completed it in April of 2005. I have a love affair with birds, these are North American and East African. I hand appliqued the quilt, did the feathers with free motion embroidery and machine quilted the top. Luella Doss suggested the falling leaves to tie the border and peacock together and it worked well. Thank you Rosemary and Luella from Roberta and Brew City Blue | ||
